Animal & Landscape Artist
Jane moved to the urban metropolis to attend art college then continued her education in Washington, D.C. by going to museums, galleries and developing friendships with other artists.
Now, she lives in an enchanted landscape in the Ozark mountains of Southwest Missouri. Her studio is perched on a tall hill and through its windows are vistas of rolling hills covered with mysterious forests and open fields.
Her paintings radiate with beautiful color. Her style is decorative, stylized, on the edge of surrealism. This combination creates a unique, mysterious, beautifully feminine image.
Fluent with oils, acrylics and gouache, her paintings are richly built up in many layers. She creates a beautiful narrative with an illusion of three dimensions which draws the viewer into her world.
Her work can be viewed this October 21 & 22 at her annual Open Studio in Oldfield, Missouri. Sign up for more info by clicking “Join Email List”
